Plural Form of Nouns

Plural Form:

If a Noun Ends in a Vowel (a, e, i, o, u), Make It Plural by Adding ‘-s’:

Casa – Casas (house – houses), Cuchillo – Cuchillos (knife – knives)

 

If a Noun Ends in a Consonant, Make It Plural by Adding ‘-es’:

Mujer – Mujeres (woman – women), Hotel – Hoteles (hotel – hotels)


 

Irregulars

To make words that end in the letter ‘z’ plural, change the ‘z’ to a ‘c’ (and add ‘es’):

Luz – Luces (light – lights), Vez – Veces (time - times)
